Our flexibility and objectivity, coupled with support from Arena’s world-class team of investment professionals and affiliated servicing personnel, strengthen the quality of our execution and financing opportunities.

Inspired by a Master:
Judith Leyster

Our firm is named for Judith Leyster, a 17th-century Dutch artist of extraordinary talent and vision. In an era dominated by men, she built a celebrated career, creating masterpieces of technical precision and creative brilliance.

This ethos—artistry, ingenuity, and succeeding in a world of rigid conventions—is the spirit we bring to modern finance. We see the intrinsic value others miss and craft financial solutions with the same dedication to strategic excellence that defined Judith Leyster’s remarkable career.

The Team Behind the Transactions

Our team combines elite backgrounds in special situations investing, banking, fine art, and collectible finance. Each transaction is handcrafted by professionals who bring clarity, speed, and ingenuity to the table.

Eileen M. Burke

Founder & Managing Partner

A senior finance executive with over $15B in transactions structured, Eileen is a veteran of Wall Street, hedge funds and advisory firms. She leads Leyster’s capital strategy and deal execution with a focus on discretion, precision, and alignment with client outcomes, drawing on decades of transaction and advisory experience.

Prior to founding Leyster Capital, Eileen established West End Capital and Advisory in 2009, where she continues to lead the firm’s advisory practice, assisting entertainment, technology and specialty finance companies with capital formation and restructuring advice.

Recognized as an entertainment finance pioneer, Eileen developed the first entertainment-focused investing strategy in the asset management space at DB Zwirn & Co., an $8 billion alternative investment firm. Notable transactions include a mezzanine and founding equity investment in Legendary Pictures, where she served on the board guiding management through a major recapitalization. This expertise in structuring complex transactions across entertainment and specialty assets demonstrates the analytical rigor and creative problem-solving that defines Leyster’s approach.

Previously a Managing Director at FleetBoston Financial, Eileen founded the Entertainment Finance Group and originated a groundbreaking $1 billion asset securitization for DreamWorks, creating new financing techniques now standard in entertainment finance. Eileen began her career at predecessor institutions to JP Morgan, where she successfully managed an $8 billion restructuring for The News Corporation. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude from Boston College and received an MBA from Columbia University.

Eileen serves as Founding Member and Treasurer of The Actors Theatre Workshop, an award-winning non-profit helping NYC homeless children through innovative theatre and education programs.
